WTCC @ Brands Hatch - 22/09/2007
__________________
Well I went along to Brands Hatch two months ago to see the WTCC qualification for Sunday's race. I couldn't go on the sunday so I thought I'd check out the saturday qualifying instead.

I got there about 9:30 just after the first practice session had started and started snapping.

Critical points: I need to increase exposure times and decrease the depth of field but I haven't really had much experience in photography so it's all a learning curve for me :P

anyway, here goes:

Thanks alot,
scott

Cheers mate, Matt are you going to Donnington on the 27th with Sax-p? I may be taking the car on track but not for very long so would be good to take a few photos.

Is that the 27th of this month Snewham? Donnington isn't too far away from me.. about an hour and a half.

Love the pictures by the way.. I've not really been anywhere to take pictures of cars actaully racing.. I went to Trax but.. never really watched any races.

Great pictures though, love the seats. Only critic i have is the way I have made them display on the site.. hmm.. due to rescalingthey are looking a little bit jagged. Not sure how i can go about that.. Don't want to really start altering the layout.. maybe an onclick function.. which will bring it up 100% ah.. bingo.

About what time of day and what others conditions might have been there when you took these shots. They are very vivacious in color.

Well it was very cloudy and dark and it doesn't help that the track is surrounded by trees that don't help the lighting conditions really but I definetely enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back ad take some more

The colors are really splendid. A nice range of car types too. Its sad we normally only get to see Nascar in the states. we have a demolition derby near us but the cars aren't near as pretty. I like the shots of them driving away from you, they seem to be running away.

I don't know what part of the country you live in. I live in northeast Ohio. Thay have alot of tracks that have road rallies, vintage car racing and Historically stock car racing. Check on line to find some in your area. I'll look into and get back to you.
