Iam seriously thinking about upgrading my gear i have a 300d and i get on with it well but unfortunatly the 6mp sensor just dossnt cut it anymore.

Iam thinking about the 40D which ive used and i'm very impressed with at 10mp

The new 450D at 12mp and cheaper. but less features.

or a full frame 5d but silly money.


Really dont know what to go for?

Suggestions?

The 40D is a great camera, i'd suggest that would be a sensible step up from a 300D.
The 5D has been out since 2005, i guess there is always a chance it won't be that long until a replacement model for that comes along which will bring 5D prices down. But who knows how long that will be?

thats what iam thinking about the 5d, been around a long time so silly spending money when its due an upgrade.

The 40D i do like but should i be tempted by a cheaper price and more MP's of the 450D comming out next month?

The 450D is only going to be about £100 or so cheaper than the 40D though right? (Well, 450D and lens vs 40D body) i assume you already have a few lenses though, so that should be alright. I think you'd be much happier with the 40D, megapixels are not that big an issue and the 40D is a much better purchase in my opinion.

thanks, iam going to wait for a bit then get a 40d i think.

might go order a new lens to playwith in the mean time.
