Is the Rebel XTi and 350d the same thing??

I have a Minolta maxxum 5 with a 28-80 zoom lens, a 70-300 zoom lens that I also use with a Minolta maxxum 5D which has a 18-70 digital zoom.

The 350D is sold as the Rebel XT in North America and the EOS Kiss Digital N in Japan.
The 400D is sold as the Rebel XTi in North America and the EOS Kiss Digital X in Japan.
The 450 D will be sold as the Rebel XTs in North America and the EOS Kiss Digital X2 in Japan.
